STATE CONVENTION
The LDHS Student Council has been working all year to put together a conference like never before. The conference will consist of inspiring speakers, student led workshops, and world-class entertainment. This is a great opportunity to improve your leadership abilities, share ideas, and network with student council members from across the state.
This year’s SCASC Convention will be a home-stay, not a hotel-stay as last year. Teachers and staff members of the Laurens School District 55 will be providing the homes for the delegates to stay.
Advisors will be staying at the Hampton Inn, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Advisers must book their room BEFORE March 13th, 2010. Rooms can be reserved for $65.00 a night. To book your room please call (864) 963 9292. Be sure to tell them you are with The South Carolina Association of Student Councils in order to get your group rate price. Each school will be allowed a maxium of 6 delegates and 2 advisors (this does not include current state officers or those running for office.) The registration fee is $90 for advisors and delegates that are SCASC members. If your school is not a member, the fee is $105 per delegate/advisor. These fees are due by February 26, 2010. There will be a $10 late fee per delegate/advisor post marked by March 10.
